Graining Compound

A white silicone compound used for making grain impressions of leather, vinyl, or plastic. Using the appropriate Rightlook.com cleaning product, clean a 6 inch by 6 inch spot adjacent to and on the same panel as the repair area. Pour out about one ounce of Grain Compound and thoroughly mix with six to eight drops of Grain Catalyst. Then pour the resulting mixture onto the cleaned spot and spread with a Palette Knife into a 3 inch by 4 inch rough rectangle. Allow to air dry for several minutes before removing carefully. The resulting graing pad is now ready to be used to reproduce grain for this and future repairs.
